Abstract
The paper explores the concept of Distant Healing (DH) through the lens of a proposed subtle vital energy (SVE), which is theorized to be present in all living beings and influential in health modulation. It differentiates DH practices—such as Reiki and intercessory prayer—from conventional therapies based on known physiological processes, suggesting that their therapeutic effects may be attributed to a non-physical exchange of energy between practitioner and patient. The work raises fundamental questions about the nonlocal influence of human consciousness on the material world, suggesting that valid studies supporting these claims could significantly challenge current scientific understandings.
